Mud, Mud, Glorious Mud! What the Heck is MudWtr, and Why Everyone Drinking It

As a former journalist, coffee was my fuel, my go-to companion during long hours of interviews and early morning live shots for ABC’s Good Morning America. I couldn’t imagine starting my day without COFFEE. And most days, that one cup could easily turn into three or four, and extend well beyond the morning. However, despite my reliance on coffee, I began to notice that it was taking a toll on my well-being. I felt constantly on edge, anxious, and my heart seemed to race at times. I knew I needed to make a change.

Time for Change

It was during this time of seeking alternatives that Janay introduced me to MudWtr. At first, I was skeptical. Could anything truly replace my beloved coffee? But I decided to give it a try, and to my surprise, I fell in love with it. As Janay loves to say…It’s your morning hug in a mug!

MudWtr is a unique blend of ingredients that promises sustainable energy and a host of other benefits. Unlike coffee, it doesn’t leave you feeling jittery or give you that sudden crash in the afternoon. Instead, it provides a more balanced and sustained boost of energy throughout the day. This was a game-changer for me. I love adding some flavored, oat creamer and mix it with my electric frother. It is delicious and so incredibly satisfying!

What sets MudWtr apart is its meticulously crafted formula. It combines organic ingredients like cacao, masala chai, turmeric, and lion’s mane mushroom, each chosen for their individual health benefits. Not only do these ingredients provide natural energy, but they also contribute to mental clarity, focus, and overall well-being.

For me, MudWtr has become more than just a coffee substitute; it has become a daily ritual and a source of rejuvenation. The anxiety and racing heart I once experienced have been replaced with a sense of calm and focus. (BTW, they also have a nighttime blend that I also LOVE!)

How Much Coffee is Too Much?

Deciding whether to stop drinking coffee is a personal choice that depends on various factors, including individual health, lifestyle, and habits.

A Few Facts

Excessive coffee consumption (more than 4-5 cups per day) can have negative health effects, such as insomnia, anxiety, and digestive problems. Additionally, some individuals may be more sensitive to caffeine and experience negative side effects even with moderate coffee consumption.

Here are some signs that you may want to consider cutting back or eliminating coffee from your diet:

  1. Difficulty sleeping: If you have trouble falling asleep or staying asleep at night, coffee may be contributing to the problem. Caffeine can interfere with sleep and lead to insomnia.
  2. Anxiety or jitters: If you feel jittery, anxious, or irritable after consuming coffee, it may be a sign that your body is sensitive to caffeine.
  3. Digestive issues: Coffee can irritate the digestive system and cause symptoms such as heartburn, acid reflux, or stomach upset.
  4. High blood pressure: If you have high blood pressure or are at risk for it, caffeine can increase your blood pressure and make the condition worse.
  5. Dependency: If you find that you need coffee to function or get through the day, it may be a sign of dependency, and you may want to consider cutting back or eliminating it from your diet.
